Concrete Construction

Caring makes a difference, and we care what our concrete looks like both above- and below the surface. Concrete foundations, driveways, patios, and sidewalks all depend on the contractor to not only make the appearance nice, but to also do the base properly so that it lasts. Clearworks strives to keep overly adequate equipment on hand so that your next concrete project can be a success long after we are gone.

For New Concrete, Concrete Demo and Replacement, and Concrete Repair, Clearworks has the experience and equipment that Dayton, Ohio expects in a concrete contractor.

Floating Concrete Slabs

A concrete slab in your pole barn or outbuilding does more than give you a smooth surface, it helps keep animals out, and keeps the interior much cooler during the summer. Clearworks strives to build for you as we would want it at our own home, trying to help you anticipate current and future needs for piping, drains, conduits, or anything else that would need to precede the final step of a floating concrete floor such as shown here. The term "floating" means not connected to a foundation. We are happy to work with you to build the correct slab for your application and budget.

Monolithic Concrete Slabs

As the name implies, "mono", meaning "one", implies a singularity or continuity. In concrete, the term monolithic slab, or monolithic patio is used to describe when the footing, foundation, and slab or patio are all poured out as one piece. There are several different designs depending on the application, but monolithic concrete usually offers a way to reduce construction time while simultaneously reducing cost.

Concrete Foundations

Foundations are used a lot in a metaphorical sense, but nothing drives the point home more than pouring an actual concrete foundation. When your next project needs to be sitting on a solid foundation, look no further than Clearworks to dig and pour your footings, concrete walls, or other foundation needs.

The project shown below was done in 5 different steps: the footing, the masonry walls, the floating interior slab, the drain footings, and the exterior aprons. While the initial investment can be startling, the cost of doing concrete is almost always a good choice as it can significantly increase property value and simultaneously raise the usability of a space.

Concrete Pipe Bollards

Pipe bollards are set within concrete foundations and serve to protect vital infrastructure from accidental or purposeful damage from vehicles. Concrete pipe bollards are used around gas stations, signs, overhead structures, tanks, building corners and doorways, or pedestrian areas in target hardening applications such as seen in public spaces like malls or parks. Call Clearworks to discuss where these safety protective posts could be an asset at your property, providing peace of mind, or even a reduction in your insurance premiums.

Concrete Demo and Replacement

Concrete has a lifespan, and sadly doesn't last forever. When it's time to remove your existing concrete and replace it with new concrete, let us help you get it done. The good news is that concrete can be repurposed and be given another life instead of becoming part of a land fill. Clearworks always seeks to dispose of concrete at a location where it can be recycled if possible.

Concrete Piers

This photo shows the steel being lowered into the drill hole for a ground mount solar structure application. The concrete completes this "pier", which is another way of saying a concrete footing that anchors something to the earth. With capability of drilling up to 48" at a depth of 18 feet, Clearworks can get the holes in the ground to make sure your pier has the proper footing.
